We wish to advise customers that due to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Tallaght, the following diversions will be in place on Monday 17 March 2025 from approx. 10.00hrs until 17.00hrs: Route 27 Towards Jobstown Normal route to Greenhills Road, divert via Airton Road, Belgard Road, Belgard Square North and back on to normal route. Towards Clarehall A St Patrick’s Day parade will come back to Tallaght in 2025, six years after the last one took place in 2019. South Dublin County Council’s community development team circulated a survey earlier in 2024 and asked local groups and organisations to bring forward their proposals. The result was a St Patrick’s Day Festival centred [] Parade Route for St. Patrick's Festival 2025. A global celebration of Irish arts, culture and heritage featuring the world famous St Patrick's Day Parade. St Patrick’s Day 2024 promises to be a green affair across local communities, as residents, clubs, groups and organisations come together to celebrate their area. This year, parades are planned for Clondalkin, Lucan and the Four Districts (Saggart, Newcastle, Rathcoole and Brittas). Route 1 Towards Shaw Street The festival will commence with a 5k race set up by Tallaght Athletics Club, as the race was a “feature of St Patrick’s Day in Tallaght for many years.” Many other activities will be available on the day, including a games area, a sensory room, face painting, a big screen and grandstands, and music entertainment. Normal route to Blessington Village, divert right to Oak Drive, Naas Road, Blessington Village and back on to normal route. Bray St. Patrick’s Day Parade Diversions 2024. Due to the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Bray, Routes 84/a, 145 and 155 will be diverted from approx. 13.00hrs to 15.00hrs on Sunday 17 March 2024. A Sunday timetable will operate on all routes on St Patrick’s Day. Nitelink services will also operate across the weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 14, 15, 16. Bus Éireann That, of course, is entirely up to you, but based on our experience of St Patrick’s Day parades in times past, people start to line the route from as early as 9am to get the best vantage point. ☘️ Here is the route map for our parade.
